A Project/Stakeholder Manager job based throughout the Midlands and also WFH, paying up to £55,000 per annum

Your new company
Hays are delighted to be working alongside this large public sector organisation in recruiting a Project/Stakeholder Manger to work specifically on a large contract involved within renewable energy and electrical installation. This position will prove to be an exciting and fulfilling opportunity.

Your new role
Your new role will support the Programme Manager in the design and delivery of the project in line with delivery targets set. Key duties involved in your role will include:

  • Manage the key relationships with stakeholders involved in the delivery of the project, with a focus on the distribution and transmission of electricity from grid.
  • Provide expert advice on all aspects of electricity connections and distribution, including the legal and regulatory framework, processes and practices, operational considerations and commercial drivers that influence the work that will be required to deliver the project and its strategic aims.
  • Leveraging relationships to help ensure the successful design, implementation and delivery of the pilot and wider scheme.
  • Bring enthusiasm and creativity to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Establish and manage strategic relationships at an executive/senior level.
  • Develop a communications plan to keep stakeholders up to date with the development, implementation and ongoing delivery of the project.
  • Regular travel to Birmingham and other Midlands-based sites but with the opportunity to work as part of a hybrid working team.

This role will have no direct people management people management responsibilities but will work as part of a wider support team of up to 40 people.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to ensure success in this role, you will:

  • Previous experience working with reference to large scale grid connections and energy demand (eg National Grid).
  • Experience working in an integrated project team as a stakeholder.
  • Managed external suppliers, and able to confidently engage with colleagues at all levels.
  • Worked closely with communications, media relations, public affairs and customer services.
  • Proven experience in a large management function covering a wide range of issues.

Experience in working on large-scale electrical infrastructure projects is an absolute necessity.


What you'll get in return
In return you will receive an excellent basic salary of up to £55,000 dependant on experience.
