Site Engineer

Your new company
You will be joining a UK leading tier 1 Civil Engineering contractor working on the HS2 project in Birmingham, focusing on piling works. You will be a part of one of the UK's largest and most complex infrastructure projects ever undertaken and work for an organisation who are currently leading the way in Civil Engineering and major infrastructure projects. HS2 is a new high speed railway that will serve as the backbone of Britain's transport network and as a result, 9 Setting Out Engineers are required for this exciting opportunity.

Your new role
In this role you will be working within the foundations and piling business as a Setting Out Engineer. You will be responsible for, but not limited to, setting out for the piling elements of the project, liaising with contractors and the workforce regarding setting out information, assisting and preparing sketches for distribution and ensuring all teams understand the plans as well as preparing of as-builts.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you will have previous experience working with large civil engineering contractors or sub-contracts on heavy civils and/or infrastructure projects. You will hold a relevant CSCS card and have excellent interpersonal skills. Prior experience in setting out piling works is desirable.
