M&E Project Manager, Belfast, Major Project, 12 month contract

The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a large public body, to recruit an M&E Project Manager (Building Services) on a contract basis for an initial period of 1 years with the possibility of further extension.
Your new role
This is a contract position based at the site office in Belfast for an initial 12 month period. As the M&E Project Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of M&E relating to the Operational Readiness and Transition (ORAT) process during the delivery of a wider multi-million project. The ORAT process will ensure a seamless transition from the current site to the new building. This will require close collaboration with a wide and varying range of external and internal stakeholders and the management of multiple supporting workstreams. Effective project management of the ORAT workstream will form a key component on the critical path to the successful delivery of the final development.
What you'll need to succeed
Minimum 5 years' experience in managing projects. Sound knowledge and experience of project management methodologies and documentation. Proven experience in managing project budgets and schedules. Able to lead project teams and manage internal and external stakeholders appropriately. A relevant Bachelor's degree in a subject such as Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services engineering with a minimum of 5 years' experience of overseeing all aspects of M&E building services projects. You must have a full UK Driving licence with access to a vehicle suitable for the role.
What you'll get in return
This position offers an immediate start and the opportunity to work with a large public body on a long-term contract basis. Salary on offer for this position is £45,000 - £47,000 pro rata.
