Your new company

An excellent opportunity to join one of the North West' fastest growing building services consultancies. Established in 1949 your new company will be multi award winning company that excels in the delivery of sustainable ME design. Based out of Stockport you will be working on both private and public sector projects supporting the health sector, Education and Public Houses. The company has also recently set up another division focussing on Net Zero Carbon and Sustainability. You will be working to head up a small hard-working team with a good social background with regular trips to Foodie Friday in Stockport.

Your new role

You will be working alongside a team based in Manchester. There will be a varied workload of public and private sector projects that will encompass a range of different sectors. You will be an electrically biased associate director joining the Manchester office leadership team.

You will be managing the delivery of high-quality electrical services design packages across all stages of the design development process. You will be contributing to the resource management and planning of the business as well as undertaking business development activity. Therefore, experience of bid writing would be advantageous. There will be an expectation to represent the company at an executive level and promote the company' core values at stakeholder engagement meetings and local professional networks.

The successful candidate will also be supporting the board of directors with the growth and technical development of the regional business. You will use your knowledge to support your peer group and allow more junior colleagues to improve their skill set through collaborative working.

You will need to also be able to identify opportunities for further personal development and advancement of your career moving forward with a view of joining the board.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need a degree in Building Services HND/HNC or similar with demonstrable experience of working within a similar or relevant environment at a management level. You will also be chartered with the engineering council or equivalent with full membership to a relevant professional institution and have a genuine passion for the building services environment.

You will need to have an understanding of the commercial and technical management of service delivery. In addition, you will have demonstrable people management skills including excellence in communication allowing you to motivate the team and get across the requirements and expectations of the project dealing with challenges as they arise in a professional manner.

You will need to be able to lead a team of engineers on projects as well as keep up to date with your own work, building client relationships and spending time overseeing other projects.

You will have knowledge and understanding of current and emerging market trends allowing you to input where the company can win projects and keep up a healthy pipeline of work for the future

A full UK driving Licence is desired.
