The successful engineer should be confident in their abilities and motivated to work to their utmost standards at all times. You'll be technically capable of designing mechanical systems for a number of building kinds. You'll need excellent communication skills to see the project through from start to finish. Knowledge of industry-specific software is a plus.
Requirements for a Mechanical Design Engineer include the following:
- A mechanical engineering or building services degree is ideal.
- A minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in the building services industry is required.
- Capable of mechanical system technical design.
- Understanding of the RIBA Work Schedule.
- Hevacomp, AutoCad, and IES experience.
