The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate experience in the design of LV/HV distribution systems, lighting systems, power systems, data systems, fire alarms systems, intruder alarms systems, lightning protection systems, photo-voltaic systems etc , in compliance with current Building Regulations.
Responsibilities
Production of Electrical Design drawings, Design Calculations and Design Schedules under the supervision of Senior Engineers.
Apply for and manage utility and multi-utility services applications.
Work to internal and external project programs effectively
Work to company Quality Assurance management systems
Support Senior/ Associate Engineers and Management
Communicate effectively with internal and external design team members
Undertake non-intrusive surveys of existing installations
Undertake main plant area spatial allowance exercises
Liaise with lead and/or support engineers to ensure that discipline designs are completed to expected quality and programme
Qualifications/Experience
Relevant HND or BSc/BEng in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
Shall hold or be working towards membership of CIBSE and /or IET (or other relevant Institutions)
Minimum of 4-6 years of post-graduate experience in the design field.
Excellent knowledge of electrical and energy design practices from concept to completion following the RIBA stages of work
Working knowledge of current Regulatory practices
Competent in the use of design package such as Hevacomp, MEPworx, Dialux, Reality Lighting etc
Good work knowledge of AutoCad and Microsoft Office suite packagesExcellent verbal and written communication skills
- Full clean UK driving licence
