Resident Engineer
London
£45 - £55/hr
We currently have a fantastic contract opportunity with one of the most prestigious companies in the UK. They are looking for a mechanically bias Resident Engineer to join them on this once in a lifetime 'high profile' residential project.
What to expect:
- Assist with the monitoring the sub-contractor's vetting of offsite suppliers quality control procedures.
- Liaise with the MEP installers to see that there is regular inspection of all major items of offsite manufactured plant and
- Assist with the monitoring the sub-contractor's procedures for procuring carrying out acceptance tests on samples of "bulk materials" to be installed on
- Liaise with the sub-contractor and the design team to obtain specific materials, samples and mock ups requiring design team involvement before installation on
- Assist with the monitoring the sub-contractor's quality control procedure for the site installation
- Inspect and comment on performance and ability of site
- Become fully conversant with the design intent for the project engineering systems by means of continuous liaison with the design
- Continuously monitor and liaise with the sub-contractor by means of regular liaison meetings, to see that the sub-contractor's team are fully conversant with the design and scope of the project engineering
- Witness the relevant site testing of the engineering systems required by the engineering systems specification, statutory authorities, insurers or similar regulating
