ABOUT THE ROLE

Senior Engineers are at the core of our projects, being the people in charge of the day-to-day running of projects and acting as the first port of call both internally and externally.  As such, they will have the most detailed knowledge about all aspects of their projects.

We are looking for motivated Senior Electrical Engineers who want to be part of the Max Fordham team as we respond to what clients and our society needs.

Working as part of the core Electrical Team in our Manchester Office you will be expected to deliver efficient, high quality electrical designs for the most interesting and complex projects undertaken by the practice. 

In addition, you will contribute to the work of the core Electrical Team to maintain the high standard of electrical design throughout the practice by sharing your knowledge and experience.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will provide training and support to junior members of the Electrical Team. Our people enjoy contributing to the process of collaborative working - from developing a well thought out brief, to delivering a building or project that exceeds the client’s expectations.

ABOUT YOU

You will be inspired by beautiful engineering design.  Whilst being able to work on your own, you will be motivated to work collaboratively and instil confidence in others, contributing positively to the team.   

This role requires you to represent the practice on projects on a day to day basis, so it is important to demonstrate your previous electrical engineering design experience on a range of projects from inception to practical completion, within an established engineering practice.  To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have UK based experience.

You will be able to explain your approach electrical design and will be comfortable discussing all electrical principles encountered by a senior electrical engineer.

You are likely to be chartered or working towards chartered status with IET or CIBSE. A sound understanding of CAD, Revit and Amtech is essential.

You will have experience taking primary responsibility for leading the electrical design on mid-size or larger projects. It is essential that you are able to prioritise a highly varied workload.
