Electrical Associate - Manchester - To £65K

Due to planned growth, we have an opportunity for an Electrical Associate to join a medium sized, Building Services Consultancy.

With a network of around 300 Engineers located across the UK, a CIBSE Approved Training and Development Program, and "Investors in People" status, plus a "Champion and Health & Wellbeing Accreditation" they are serious about attracting and developing their staff.

As an Associate, you'll be responsible for helping to leading the Electrical Team, acting as a single point of contact for clients, managing projects through all RIBA stages and mentor and develop the less experienced Engineers.

Other duties will include:

• Assisting with fee proposals, bids and resource planning.
• Attending client, design team, or project progress meetings.
• Understand client needs, and formulate a project brief.
• Monitoring the quality of the work produced by the team.
• Ensuring the Electrical designs are full coordinated with the mechanical, and other specialist services.
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time; and remain financially profitable.
• Providing weekly and monthly updates on the status of projects, to the Partner.
• Liaising with the Energy and Sustainability Engineers and ensuring all projects remain as energy efficient as possible.
• Undertake research into emerging technologies, sustainable low energy initiatives or trends, within the built environment.

Requirements

• Degree qualified, and ideally CEng or IEng.
• Working knowledge of Revit MEP, Trimble MEP or ElectricalOM.
• At least eight years' experience, as a design Engineer within the building services industry.
• Good overall awareness of renewable energy, and net zero carbon or low carbon building design.
• Up to date knowledge of British Standards and CIBSE Guidelines.
