New Role for an Occupational Therapist (Band E) to work in Solihull, paying up to £25/hour

Your new company

You will be working for a recognised organisation in Solihull as an Occupational Therapist in the Reablement Community and One Front Door department.

Your new role

Your new role will be within the Occupational Therapy division, reporting to the Assistant Team Manager. Your new role will be to promote, enable and support independence and maintain health and wellbeing through
prevention, enabling independence, environmental design and adaptation and person-centred
approaches to practice. You will be working alongside people with a wide range of disabilities including, physical, learning and mental health disabilities, supporting therapeutic intervention to maximise functional ability, to
enable the person to achieve optimum control of their lives, reduce dependency and increase independence. The post holder will be responsible for undertaking specialist functional assessments in order to establish if people meet criteria for the provision of services. As part of your new role, you will be responsible for environmental ergonomic assessment of the person's environment; assessment of cognitive and functional ability to carry out daily living tasks; assessment of moving and handling situations. You will be responsible in providing specialist occupational therapy support to staff, people, formal and informal carers.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role and to be considered, you must have a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy or equivalent. It is vital that you have HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist. An Enhanced DBS will be carried out for this role. This role requires you to drive, so you must have a valid driving license and own a vehicle.
