This role is with Coventry City Council, covering the Coventry region.
Your new role
There are 7 positions available for experienced and qualified Occupational Therapists in Coventry, working to safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable adults. You will be working closely with service users and other professionals to provide assessment and service provision to professionally accepted standards across therapy service area.
You will be expected to provide a planning programme of therapeutic intervention for customers with a wide range of disabilities including, physical, learning and cognitive disabilities. You will therefore be responsible for undertaking specialist functional assessments to establish if the customer meets the criteria for provision of services.
The post holder must comply with the Interagency procedures of the Safeguarding Boards and Coventry City Council's policies for safeguarding children and safeguarding adults and in particular is required:-
* To ensure they are aware of the signs that may suggest a child or vulnerable adult is being abused or neglected
* To report to their manager, or other appropriate manager, any concerns they may have that suggest that a child or vulnerable adult may be being abused or neglected immediately
What you'll need to succeed
- You must have a Diploma or BSc in Occupational Therapy
- You must be HCPC registered
- Evidence of post graduate education is desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS Check
