Sustainability Engineer
Cambridge
£35,000 - £45,000 Plus benefits
A fantastic opportunity has come up with a multidisciplinary consultancy that focuses on sustainability. Currently, they are looking to expand their tight-knit MEP team by bringing on a driven and knowledgeable engineer. Due to their continued success and expanding clientele, the successful engineer will be confident working on their projects within the commercial, residential, and data centre industries. Therefore, having prior knowledge with these kinds of buildings would be beneficial.
You will be a specialist with a degree, a variety of job experience, and practical experience doing BREEAM Assessments at all phases, including final certification. This position's main goal is to give the expanding sustainability team more capability. This consultancy offers a fantastic potential for growth because they are passionate about staff development and taking their skill set to the next level.
Responsibilities -
- Providing BREEAM Assessments for major schemes from planning through to completion. Complete BREEAM Life Cycle Assessments including client-facing meetings on the most appropriate reductions in embodied carbon for their projects.
- Work on large projects and co-ordinate services with clients; providing advice at every stage of the project on key sustainability issues,
- Understand key service deliverables and relaying progress to clients
- Report Writing
- Manage own workloads
- Proactively engage with clients and design teams
- Writing sustainability and energy strategy documents
