Building off the back of what has been their most profitable year ever, their 150 strong Building Services team is continuing to win some of the largest and most iconic projects in the UK. Some of their current projects include a £450M commercial office new build for British Land, a £1.5B regeneration project in West London and 250m tall, high rise tower in Dubai.

This team has unmatched experience designing liveable, low or zero carbon buildings. Their engineers understand how to create spaces that are great, for the people that occupy them and are also great for society as a whole.

Their MEP team works in close collaboration with their inhouse structural team and as a practice they never take on more work than they can deliver. Nationally the MEP team work as one P&L and resources and knowledge are shared freely, rather than having different regional offices essentially competing against each other.

As a Technical Director you'll be responsible for ensuring all projects continue to push the boundaries of technical design, remain innovative and also set new standards when it comes to low carbon building design.

You will not just be a small cog in a big wheel. Here, you'll have a big impact on the future direction and success of their Electrical Building Services offering, on a national basis. You'll also help upskill the team and provide clients with an unmatched level of service and quality of project delivery.

As an Electrical (Building Services) Technical Director you'll continue to provide exceptional levels of client care and act as a subject matter expert on all aspects of electrical services.

And rather than being pigeonholed into working in a specific sector, here you will get the opportunity of working on everything from commercial offices, developer led residential schemes, high rise commercial towers, museums, and exhibition centres, 5-star hotels and major regeneration or master plans across the UK.

You'll continue to lead by example and encourage the use of AI, Digital tools, and automation to improve the quality and detail of what they deliver. However, they realise that no technology will ever replace the lessons you've learnt from the experience you've gained, from seeing numerous projects through from feasibility to construction.

Key requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Architectural and Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 15 years' experience in a project delivery role.
• Good appreciation of sustainability and net zero carbon design.
• Ability to mentor and develop multidisciplinary professional teams.
