Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's team, working on a wide range of exciting and challenging projects across the UK. You will be responsible for leading the mechanical design of building services systems, including HVAC, pipework, and hot and cold water systems. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to deliver high-quality designs that meet client expectations and project requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the mechanical design of building services systems, including HVAC, pipework, and hot and cold water systems
• Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop designs that meet client expectations and project requirements
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle
• Use your experience and knowledge to deliver innovative and sustainable design solutions, maximizing energy efficiency and minimizing environmental impact
• Provide technical support to project teams, ensuring that designs are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Significant experience in mechanical design engineering within the building services industry
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality designs on time and within budget
• Experience in leading projects and managing client relationships
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, pipework, and hot and cold water systems
• Understanding of sustainable design principles and energy efficiency measures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
