Your new company
An established building services contractor who specialises in the design, supply and installation of a wide range of off-site Prefabricated solutions for the commercial M&E sectors throughout Ireland. Due to continued growth they are looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support their Design Team based in Banbridge.

Your new role

  • Develop electrical designs, drawings, calculations etc for projects.
  • Create project-specific building management systems control strategies for implementation.
  • Manage, train, and develop junior engineers.
  • Take part in project design meetings.
  • Work hand in hand with other departments and teams to deliver projects.
  • Visit UK sites to undertake surveys or existing systems.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering/Building Services or equivalent qualification
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Chartered Engineer status (desirable)
  • Experience in the design and implementation of building management systems.
  • Previous experience in designing ELV, LV and HV systems
  • Comprehensive understanding of British/European standards and legislation included the latest 18th edition.
  • Experience working with Amtech or similar design software.
  • Self-motivated, hard-working individual.
  • Possess a strong commitment to team environment dynamics, contributing expertise and following leadership directives at appropriate times.
  • Fluent written and verbal English language skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and the latest BIM 360 software packages
  • Experience in utilising IES, Hysopt or similar
  • Design HV electrical switchgear, transformer, generator systems above 2MW(e)
