Your new company
Our client the Belfast International Airport are seeking to recruit a Project Manager to oversee the installation and change management implementation of their new security scanning system as part of the industry-wide move to improve and streamline passenger experience while also further improving security standards.
Your new role
This is a 12-month fixed term contract employed by our client the Belfast International Airport, reporting to the Head of Security, where you will be responsible for the installation and implementation of a new security scanning system within a purpose-built facility at the terminal.
The core responsibility for this position will involve working with the relevant Airport Security staff, Security Contractor, Asset and Capital Delivery leads and any consultants & advisors to develop and design the ORAT and design the business change plans that are to be implemented at BIA, to ensure successful implementation and launch of the new terminal security operation model using the equipment in the new security facility.
This role presents the opportunity to define solutions that meet airport capacity and throughput requirements, optimise customer experience, and improve operating efficiency.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will have experience of working in continuous improvement environments and proven experience of improving performance in key areas including process, people, and technology.
This role requires an analytical thinker who has strong communication and influencing skills to effectively manage relationships across the airport.
This will be a fast-paced, operational environment so operational management experience is a desirable skill. Experience of applying practical application of change and balancing business, customer and stakeholder needs will be critical to this position.
Essentially you will have:
• Degree in an Engineering, Project Management, or relevant discipline
• Project Management Qualification
• Lean Six Sigma Qualification
AND
Minimum of 5 years' experience of:
- Project management in a complex operational environment
- Quality systems
- Co-ordinating and managing contractors/stakeholders
- Managing budgets
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations, with specific emphasis on CDM regulations
- Knowledge of quality compliance
- Commercial acumen of projects and implementation of cost savings
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations
- Working knowledge of software packages such as MS Word, Excel, MS Project & Auto CAD
