Mechanical Design Engineer - To £43 p/h - 6 Month Contract

I have a unique opportunity within the in-house property, design and construction team of a local authority based in SW London.

They offer a hybrid working policy of one day a week from the office (Currently a Tuesday) up to 40 hours a week, and payment every 14 days.

You will enjoy a diverse and challenging role and wear many different hats over the course of the week. Often operating as a HVAC design engineer, contract administrator, MEP Design Manager and Clerk of works on projects.

Your career will also benefit as you'll be working on a variety of projects, current schemes include schools, leisure centres, residential developments, commercial offices, libraries, and cultural buildings throughout SW London.

You'll enjoy interacting with the in-house planners, architects, building surveyors, quantity surveyors, design managers and other M&E Engineers.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified.
  • At least 8 years of experience in HVAC Design.
  • Previous experience seeing projects through from design to site (ie witnessing and approving the quality of the HVAC installations).
  • Able to attend their office once a week to have a team catch up.
  • Able to attend sites when required, typically one to two days a week (travel is paid for).
