A National Mechanical and Electrical Contractor based in Ballymena with a reputation for delivering quality projects for a wide client base both locally and throughout the UK. Due to continued success, they are currently recruiting BIM Coordinators at Intermediate & Senior levels to join the business.

Your new role
Reporting to the BIM Manager, you will be a key member of this multidisciplinary and versatile team. Your skills will be instrumental in delivering high quality Building Information Models using MEP Revit to support the Mechanical and Electrical design on a range of diverse projects within Education, Healthcare and Commercial sectors.

Key Duties:

• Preparation of Revit models for MEP services
• Creation of drawings for issuing to site
• Surveying of work in progress MEP installation on live sites
• Willing to travel to site to carry out 3D scanning duties
• Ability to communicate with site staff and other members of the wider team
• Use of Navisworks Manage for clash detection (this can be taught post appointment)

Senior Role:

• Develop/update, implement and maintain BIM workflow, protocols and standards within the MEP BIM Team.
• Assist BIM Manager with mentorship of other BIM Co-Ordinators within the internal team
• Organise, configure and maintain projects
• Manage Revit project production and contents as well creation and maintenance of standard library objects
• Production of construction level drawing information for use on live sites
• Act as BIM Coordinator (MEP Engineering) for major projects
• Provide day-to-day BIM technical support to delivery teams
• Provide training to other staff on relevant BIM technologies

What you'll need to succeed

• Basic understanding of Revit software
• Genuine interest in learning MEP draughting
• Ability to work independently on own initiative and as part of a team
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft programmes
• UK Driving Licence and access to transport

Senior Role:

• Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilities
• Ideally have a minimum of 3-5 years' experience working as a CAD/Revit Technician for Building Services on medium/large scale projects in Autodesk Revit
• In-depth knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Navisworks, with experience of creating search sets, running clash detection and producing clash reports.
• UK Driving Licence and access to transport
• BIM qualification would be desirable
