Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - To £55K + Package

This global, Building Services Consultancy is owned and led by engineers who understand the importance of training, developing, retaining, and regularly promoting their employees.

Due to growth, they are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for their Head Office in London. Although this office has over 200 MEP Design and Sustainability Engineers, they remain a people and not profit, focussed business and have never made anyone redundant in their 50+ years of trading.

They are one of twenty companies, across the whole of the UK to have a CIBSE Accredited, Training and Development Program in place. And one of only a handful of firms to have consistently achieved the "Platinum Investors in People" and "Good Employer" status for a decade running.

Reporting to a Mechanical Director, or Associate Director you'll be responsible for leading a range of commercial projects through RIBA Stages 2-5, mentoring a few mechanical engineers, and acting as a single point of contact for clients.

Unlike so many other practices you won't get pigeonholed into becoming a sector specialist or a one trick pony. Here you'll work on everything from commercial offices, hospitals, schools, hotels, listed buildings, retail developments, hospitality and major residential developments across the UK and Europe.

As a practice they have a great reputation and provide a welcoming and inclusive working environment. They offer a 35-hour week, a hybrid working policy of two to three days a week in the office, 5% pension, 26 days annual leave, payment of professional memberships, life assurance, annual salary review and a clear path to salary or equity partner should you wish.

They also only ever promote from within and never take on more work than they can actually deliver. After all, they are a practice of engineers, owned by engineers and do not need to chase crazy profit targets or growth targets just to keep investors or shareholders happy.

Minimum Requirements

• HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Energy Engineering.
• Familiar with a Building Services Software such as IES, Hevacomp (Bentley Open Buildings Designer), MagiCAD or Revit.
• Able to and willing to work from their London office located near Kings Cross, two to three days a week.
