Senior/Principal Electrical Design Engineer

I am currently recruiting on behalf of one of Edinburgh's most respected M&E/MEP Building Services Design Consultants.

They are expanding their Electrical Design capability and are now looking for a Senior or Principal Electrical Building Services Design Engineer to join the team.

One important point to note here is, the Electrical Director is happy to consider an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer, with around 4 to 5 years experience, joining his team on promotion to Senior level.

Are you ready for the next step in your career with a realistic career path forward to Associate level?

If you are currently at Senior or Principal Electrical MEP Building Services Design Engineer level and feel you have no career outlet, then the same rule applies. You will clearly see a forward plan to Associate level in reasonably short order.

You should be able to demonstrate a track record of at least 10 years MEP Electrical Design experience ideally within Edinburgh and surrounding areas. However, a candidate on relocation will be considered.

This company handle some very technically challenging Electrical Building Services projects and you will be expected and encouraged to run your own projects whilst managing a design team of your own.

You must possess excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrate leadership qualities so, you lead from the front and by example.

If you have a professional interest/experience in Sustainability, Green Buildings and Low/Zero Carbon projects there are projects in this field which, you will be welcome to be involved in.

You must be right up to date in most Building Services Electrical Design Software, including Dialux, Relux, Amtech and Revit and be prepared to mentor Graduate Electrical Engineers in this field.

Ideally you will hold a relevant Degree, and either be Chartered or looking for sponsorship to Chartered MCIBSE status.
