Are you a services engineer passionate about decarbonising heating systems?

Would you enjoy visiting schools to carry out building services audits, inspections and engaging with premises managers?

This core role is to assist RAFT with services design for retrofit projects from early- stage heat decarbonisation plans and detailed design through to delivery, soft landings, and post occupancy evaluation. You will be designing heat pump systems, MVHR, lighting and assessing and mitigating overheating. You will receive support and bespoke on-project training from the experienced PassivHaus designer and engineer Alan Clarke.

Job Responsibilities

  • You will assist RAFT with services design for retrofit projects from early-stage feasibility study, heat decarbonisation plans, detailed design, through to delivery, soft landings, and post occupancy evaluation.
  • You will be comfortable working with data sets on excel and combining both qualitative and quantitative analysis to prepare reports.
  • You will be designing heat pump systems, MVHR and assessing and mitigating
  • overheating.
  • You will be required to have a broad understanding of MEP systems and
  • associated BMS and be able to evaluate those systems and provide recommendations and analysis.
  • You will be familiar with PHPP and other energy analysis software.
  • You will support our in person and on-line premises manager training sessions and support targeted energy savings audits in schools.
  • Working with the Community Engagement Lead to deliver Premises Manager
  • Training, on-site audits in school and community settings.
