Southampton City council is after a safe pair of hands for this crucial management role, to oversee and manage the City Council’s statutory obligations related to buildings health & safety compliance, servicing & inspection across all the Council’s domestic and corporate portfolios.

You will be responsible for leading and operationally managing the Council’s property compliance strategies and management plans, ensuring that they are aligned with the Council’s Business Plans and Asset Management Strategies.

This role is for a proactive and motivated individual who will manage a team that is experienced in ensuring the comprehensive delivery of the Council’s commitment to promote safe, customer focused and a ‘value for money’ inspection, servicing and building compliance maintenance service.

  • The working hours for this role are 37 hours per week 
    This is a permanent position.   

    Please note that appointments are usually made at the bottom of the salary scale.
    This post requires a DBS check.
