Job Details

Your new company
The City of London is a stand-out local authority that is headed by the Lord Mayor with the Court of Common Council being it's main decision-making body. They are at the forefront of leadership from a local authority perspective. Their multidisciplinary teams consist of some of the most technical leaders within the Public Sector that work and deliver projects with a very similar mentality to the private sector. The council is responsible for all carbon-neutral goals and are actively delivering some exciting projects on some of Londons iconic skyline buildings.
Your new role
As an M&E Compliance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring all Mechanical and Electrical compliance on small projects and day to day works are met. This will require you manage the contractors and their works; ensuring that all current British Standards and Building Regulations are met, and you will check this by completing pre and post inspections along with acting as a technical advisor on any ongoing works. As the M&E Technical lead you will be responsible for ensuring that both internal and external teams are aware of industry regulation changes and practises and act as technical support on projects.
What you'll need to succeed
You will hold an HND/HNC in Building Services Engineering or a B.Eng. and have a track record of 7 years plus acting as M&E Technical compliance lead. Experience of client side contract management is required along with an understanding of both Mechanical and Electrical disciplines. A long history of working client-side for other public sector organisations in London is desired, along with the understanding of corporate/ commercial buildings. You will understand and be able to advise on M&E compliance during project delivery as you would have done this previously.
What you'll get in return
The City of London is offering a salary of £55,300 to £62,390 plus a generous package offering 28 days annual leave plus an additional 8 public/bank holidays and a large pension scheme equalling 17.5%, along with travel to work schemes and various local discounts via the benefits' portal.
