Your new role
As a Mechanical Estimator you will play a pivotal role in our continued success. You'll be responsible for accurately estimating costs for mechanical projects, ensuring competitive bids, and contributing to our growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimating:
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to analyse project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents. Prepare detailed mechanical estimates, considering labour, materials, and subcontractor costs. - Risk Assessment:
Evaluate risks and opportunities associated with each project. Provide insights to senior management for informed decision-making. - Tender Preparation:
Develop competitive tenders that align with project requirements and client expectations. - Relationship Building:
Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and industry partners. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate records, ensuring transparency and compliance.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience:
Proven track record in mechanical estimating within the construction industry.
- Skills:
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. - Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Qualifications:
Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
