Telecoms Engineer

Your new company
You will be one of well-established Building Services Contractors in the UK that work with a range of different clients.
Your new role
As a Telecoms Engineer, you'll engage in varied design activities to provide practical solutions for telecom customers. Experience in live switch centres is preferred but not essential. You'll also assist with ancillary works required for MEP installations.
What you'll need to succeed

• Full driving licence
• Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD
• Ability to review existing installations and survey live switch sites
• Knowledge of cable calculation software (e.g., Amtech or Elec OM)
• Familiarity with lighting calculations software (preferred but not essential)
• Industry knowledge of installed plant/equipment
• Collaboration with specialist Sub-Contractors for design development
• Background knowledge of cooling systems within Data Halls (e.g., Fresh Air DX, Chilled Water)
• Working as part of a team as the Principal Contractor
• General understanding of Builderswork (beneficial but not essential)
