Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

What they are looking for:

• Minimum of 5 years’ industry experience in a consultancy environment.
• Experience of managing and developing project engineering teams.
• Ability to act as Project Manager reviewing mechanical designs for a range of projects.
• Develop project scope with design team / clients including budgeting and reporting.
• Implement and oversee successful design solutions for Projects.
• Supporting the management team, oversee resource management and planning to ensure successful Project delivery.
• Mentoring and development of Junior Engineering staff.
• With support of the leadership team, assist in the preparation of bids and fee submissions.

What you’ll be doing:

• Perform the role of Senior Engineer and project lead on projects.
• Take lead role on projects, including mechanical design, project management, attendance at design team meetings and site meetings, and responsibility for project delivery.
• Report back to management on progress of current projects.
• Oversee resource management of junior engineers and CAD/BIM technicians to ensure deadlines are met.
• Perform site visits and technical surveys of existing electrical installations and recommend potential solutions to improve systems.
• Deliver technical presentations, reports, specifications, etc.
• Support marketing activities to promote the company. Provide mentoring of junior engineering staff.
• Assist in building collaborative and engaged teams
