LOCATION – Lincolnshire
TERM – Permanent
SALARY – 30,000 to 40,000 per annum (plus benefits)
Premier Engineering is working with a well–established engineering company based in Lincolnshire that is looking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer. This role is ideal for someone with strong design experience who is proficient in 3D CAD software.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

SALARY – 30,000 to 40,000 per annum (plus benefits)
Premier Engineering is working with a well–established engineering company based in Lincolnshire that is looking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer. This role is ideal for someone with strong design experience who is proficient in 3D CAD software.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- A degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC, etc.).
- Experience in mechanical design within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD).
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including fabrication, machining, and sheet metal design.
- Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Strong problem–solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Fire systems design would be beneficial but not essential
- Good communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Creating 3D models and technical drawings for mechanical components and assemblies.
- Developing innovative design solutions for engineering projects.
- Working closely with production and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible.
- Conducting design reviews and making modifications as required.
- Producing detailed documentation, including BOMs and technical specifications.
- Ensuring all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of design processes.
