Vital are working with a leading M&E contractor who are looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer.

The company specialise in Mechanical and Electrical installations for commercial and industrial projects, Service and maintenance and design & energy efficiency.

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for : –

• Producing detailed electrical designs and calculations.
• Design and coordination of all electrical systems on projects
• Collaborating with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into the overall project design.
• Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and environmental considerations.
• Conducting site inspections and liaising with our construction team to ensure successful implementation of projects.
• Preparing and reviewing technical reports, specifications, and documentation.
• Providing technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participating in client meetings and presentations to communicate design solutions effectively.

Qualifications and experience required :–

• HNC/HND Electrical qualification in Building Services Engineering or similar as a minimum.
• BS7671:2018 advantageous but not essential
• City & Guilds 2396 advantageous but not essential
• IET Membership would be advantageous but not essential
• Experience in designing Electrical systems for a wide range of building types
• Strong problem–solving and analytical skills
• Good practical knowledge is an advantage
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• AutoCAD Computer–Aided Design (CAD) skills
• Revit experience would be advantageous but not essential
• Proficient in the use of design calculation software such as Trimble Pro Design, Relux, and Dialux.
