About Unison:

Scarborough based Unison Ltd is a highly successful manufacturer of CNC tube bending machines and industrial engineering solutions, supplying high–end products to a world market, in sectors including Aerospace, Automotive and Marine.

We currently have a vacancy for a Control Systems Designer to further strengthen our electrical team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with good communication skills and at least 5 years' experience in a similar field.

The position is based at our manufacturing facility in Scarborough. This is a full–time salary–based role. We offer a 39–hour week 7.45am – 4:45pm Monday to Thursday, with an early finish at 1pm Friday.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure conformance with customer specifications.
  2. Ensure conformance with machinery directive legislation.
  3. Create parts lists (BOMs).
  4. Create electrical schematics and manufacturing drawing packs.
  5. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure efficient working methods.
  6. Provide commissioning and fault–finding guidance to service teams.
  7. Provide remote customer support.

Qualifications / Experience:

  1. Minimum level 3 qualification in related discipline or HNC.
  2. At least 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  3. 3 phase power circuits.
  4. 24Vdc control circuits.
  5. Machine safety systems.
  6. Servo motion & PLC programming experience would be an advantage.

Hours: 39 hours

Salary: Best rates of pay for the right individual.

Holidays: 32 days a year inclusive of public / bank holidays.
