Mechanical Design Engineer
Louth
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a specialist team operating within high speed cutting edge manufacturing based in Louth
Responsibilities
- Oversee projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Lead the design and development of automated equipment
- Design mechatronic systems, including mechanisms, robotics, pneumatics, electrical components and servo systems.
- Create 3D and 2D designs using SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor
- Select and specify components, perform engineering calculations, and optimize designs.
- Prepare and manage technical documentation, including risk assessments and FMEAs.
- Work closely with multi–disciplinary teams to solve complex problems and drive innovation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across the business and engineering processes.
Qualifications
- 8 years previous experience with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proven expertise in mechanical design, engineering sign–off, installation, and commissioning.
- Strong SolidWorks skills
- Experience in automation and mechatronic equipment development is a plus.
- Ability to lead a mechatronic design team and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessments and FMEAs.
- Full driver's license required.
